Japan eyes three-stage rocket

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. are looking into a three-stage rocket that will larger payloads into space.

Currently, limits of the two-stage H-IIA and H-IIB rockets in use have constrained JAXA missions to smaller payloads and probes.

The H-III’s first stage will have three engines adapted from the second stage of the H-IIA and will abandon the use of solid boosters.

Co-pilot of Air India Express sends plane diving

The co-pilot of a Air India Express flight sends the plane plunging 7,000 feet after he accidentally pushed the control column forward.

The captain had gone for a toilet break and was locked out of the cockpit as the plane descended. He had to use an emergency code to get back into the cockpit and take controls from the panicky pilot.

Vietnam indicated strong interest in MRJ
