Boeing has named airplane programs vice president Pat Shanahan to replace Mohammad Yahyavi as head of its troubled 747-8 program.
Like its 787 cousin, the 747-8F has suffered delays and aviation analysts said the management was to be blamed.
Boeing plans to deliver the first freighter to Cargolux by end of the year and now it looks like the date may shift to next year.
